Here’s today’s selection

2:00 Huntingdon – Raffle Ticket

We were with Mel Rowley’s RAFFLE TICKET when he made his chase debut at Sandown last month, and he shaped like the best horse in the contest only to fade late as if the run was needed. That was his first run since January and he’s a big lad who can’t be easy to get fit.

The yard is in form with 13-year-old Wishing And Hoping producing a career-best performance to win the Veterans’ Chase Final at Sandown on Saturday. The Rowleys have always believed that Raffle Ticket would make a decent chaser, and we prefer him to The Cob, who won well enough on his chase debut at Uttoxeter, but did have his own way in front there, and has looked to sulk more than once when unable to dictate over hurdles.
